ACP Crown Molding is crafted from finger-jointed poplar for straightness, strength and long-lasting durability. The finger-jointing process involves the joining of short lengths of timber to produce longer lengths, which can then be machined to produce the final product. Finger-jointed products feature the characteristic interlocking joint. The joining process results in a length of timber of equivalent strength to solid lumber. This process can produce clear or knotty grades. The finger-joints are only visible on the back (unexposed) side of the crown molding. |
